Why You Should Watch A Happy Old Year Thai Movie

I’m not going to hide it anymore: I’m a bit of a sentimental collector. I keep everything from movie ticket stubs and high school papers to letters and notes from people I don’t even talk to anymore. Before watching this movie, which was highly recommended to me by a friend, I was willing to throw away (or give away) a lot of my “stuff”. But now … I’m not sure it’s the right thing to do.

Some fun facts about Good year :

  • According to CGC films, the title of the film in Thailand literally translates to “How to empty”.
  • The film was screened in theaters on February 13, 2020, just before V-Day!
  • Just in case you forgot, Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying starred in the hit 2017 teen movie Evil genius.

Why should you watch it?

Good year isn’t a melodrama, so don’t expect over-the-top confrontations and dialogue. It’s more of a slow wake-up: you can’t just throw people away the way you throw things. I think one of the strengths of the film is Jean as an “anti-hero”. She is ~ a little cold ~, she is “bossy” as her mother always says, and sometimes she doesn’t think about the consequences of her actions. Nakakainis siya minsan. Corn it’s which makes her so relatable. We have all unintentionally hurt other people in the past. We all have baggage and are just trying to do what’s best for us.

And because I can’t resist this is my favorite quote from the movie (yes, that’s a spoiler, so * run away * if you hate spoilers!): “When you came to apologize, I was angry. It was like you were off the hook after apologizing. So I had to forgive you, right? If I don’t forgive you, it is is my problem. It’s not your problem anymore. problem. It was like you took all your guilt and threw it at me. Then you left … Don’t apologize. Live with your guilt . Don’t run away. Can you do it? ” ANG SAKIT, OKAY?
